The long awaited feature of WhatsApp allowing android users to lock and unlock the app through fingerprint sensor will soon roll out. These features was recently made available to Apple iPhone users. The upcoming features of WhatsApp will be seen. The features comes in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android. The feature was recently made available to Apple iPhone users. By these feature the users will no longer need to download third-party apps to add an additional pattern or pin lock on the application. Also, users can still receive or reject calls if the app is locked in the background while they need to use the fingerprint to open WhatsApp. The fingerprint authentication is only necessary for opening the app, users will be able to reply to messages through the notification. These feature also provide users the option to choose the time when the WhatsApp is automatically locked – similar to screen lock for phones from one minute to 30 minutes. The feature ‘fingerprint support’ was introduced to Apple iPhone users earlier by WhatsApp. It supports Face ID on compatible iPhones. To enable fingerprint sensor on your iPhone, open the WhatsApp > Settings > choose Account and tap on Privacy > toggle the button to enable screen lock.
