Techvia Alliance - Microsoft to Train IT Professionals in Partnership with Indian Government


The "Digital Governance Tech Tour" program was announced by Microsoft India on Tuesday, to skill government IT officials in new-age technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) and intelligent cloud computing. A series of physical and virtual workshops will be organized to train 5,000 government IT personnel over a period of 12 months. The participants of this programme will be taught how to transform and analyze data, design end-to-end solutions, and deep dive into the fundamentals of Azure Cloud. The  'Digital Governance Tech Tour' is first-of-its-kind for government officials to stay committed of being a trusted partner to the government by enabling and empowering officials to do more with technology in service of the citizens. Amitabh Kant, CEO NITI Aayog and Ajay Prakash Sawhney, Secretary Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), , during the "Digital Governance Tech Summit 2019, inaugurated the programme under the presence of senior government and Microsoft officials. As India is moving towards fulfilling its $5 trillion economy vision applying AI and data analytics can provide actionable, predictive and effective citizen-focused services using secure and compliant cloud-based tools. It is necessary to equip the ecosystem with the right know-how and skills as beyond pilots and understand how to scale AI implementation and cloud adoption across states and sectors. The programme is open for IT professionals and technocrats the across the entire government ecosystem, including employees of public sector undertakings, , government partners as well as solutions/systems integrators.
